Maybe the internet raised us!

Yesterday for some random reason, I took a walk around the block a few times. I’ve been stressing myself out for the past couple of days and I need a change of scenery. Away from my room, laptop and I hate to say it, but away from phone also. As I’m headed out the door, I began to lose my breath and started having second thoughts, about leave my precious iPhone unattended, in my cold lonely room. However, what’s done is done and I couldn’t go back and get it. In addition, I was just too lazy to walk up the two flights of stair for a phone. Therefore, I just began to walk and didn’t look back. As I walked around my semi-ghetto neighborhood, surrounded by all walks of life. I began to notice my surroundings. It’s pretty weird to see the world without having your phone taking up all your attention. I really don’t remember how I survived my salad days without a phone or internet.

I do remember taking long walks with friend, just bullshitting and getting ourselves into some kind of stupid trouble. Back then, I didn’t need a phone to entertain me. I’m not saying that I’ll be leaving my phone at home more often or at all after this eye opening experiment. However, it was somewhat nice to cross that border to the real world, that I have come to neglect. Without having that extra limb, that is my gadget attached to my hand. It was also pleasant not to Snapchat or Instagram shit, that at the end of the day doesn’t really matter. Maybe I should take more walks, but this time I’ll just have my phone turn off in my back pocket instead.
